Dr. Sylma products were developed by dedicated pediatrician and mother of three, Dr. Maria Sylma Tweed. Our Lovingly Organic Balm is a USDA certified organic balm gentle enough for a newborn. We have a strong commitment to provide truly gentle skincare for extra-dry, sensitive skin and many other childhood skin conditions. That’s why we use only hypoallergenic, certified organic ingredients. Keep in mind, just because a product is “natural” doesn’t mean it is gentle or certified organic. It may still contain harsh synthetic chemicals, preservatives or harsh essential oils. We promise you that Dr. Sylma products are certified USDA organic and contain only the gentlest ingredients that you can trust on your little ones.
Sylma is Dr. Maria Tweed’s middle name, a special name chosen by her dad that became her childhood nickname. Sylma is pronounced SYLMA (seel-mà).
The name “Sylma” is Dr. Maria Tweed’s middle name. An uncommon name in Latin America (Dr. Tweed grew up in Puerto Rico), Sylma became her childhood nickname. When she moved to the U.S., Dr. Tweed’s first name Maria took the place of her nickname. When it was time to name the company, Dr. Tweed was excited to use a name that reminded her of family and childhood; the perfect name for a line of lovingly organic skincare for little ones.

You can edit your shipping address under My Account under Address Book. You can opt to select a new default shipping address or add an additional address in the Address Book.
If you need to make changes to your billing information, you can edit them by going to My Account under Billing Information. You can then edit your current form of payment, add a new card, or change your default payment method.
To adjust your email subscription settings, simply go to My Account under Account Settings. You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time by adjusting your Email Preferences or clicking the Unsubscribe button at the bottom of any email you receive.
You can access your past orders or orders in progress by going to My Account and clicking My Order History.
Shipping & Delivery
Once your order is processed, you can track its status in My Account under My Order History by clicking “Track Order”.
Be sure to allow 1-3 business days for your order to ship due to processing time. In addition, you will receive a confirmation email that includes tracking information once your order has been picked up and scanned by the shipping courier.
Dr. Sylma ships to all 50 US States, and Puerto Rico. We do not ship internationally at this time, or to any other US territories, mail-forwarding services or PO Boxes. Any shipping restrictions will be stated during the checkout process, if applicable.
Any order over $50+ will receive free shipping. All other shipping costs will be stated during the checkout process, if applicable.
We currently ship with UPS and UPS SurePost.
Due to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) safety restrictions, items that contain regulated materials cannot be shipped by air (2-Day, Standard Overnight). Any shipping restrictions will be stated during the checkout process, if applicable.
Return Policy
If you are not 100% satisfied with our products, we will work with you to create a solution. Simply go to My Account and click Return to begin the return process. All returns are accepted within 30-days of your order ship date.

After we receive your return at the warehouse, please allow up to 10 business days for the return to be posted to your original method of payment.

I’ve struggled with sensitive skin, eczema, and psoriasis for most of my life. I try to use products geared towards babies and children since they tend to irritate my sensitive skin less. I’ve tried other natural products that still always caused burning and irritation. This balm has been a life saver. I had a few patches of eczema that were persistent for over 6 months even with the use of prescription steroid creams. I used this balm for 3 days and it cleared my eczema and it hasn’t returned. So grateful to have found this product and highly recommend!
